What are SENCO & Leadership Training Hubs?

Our SENCO Therapy hubs are run termly throughout the UK. The Hubs have been designed to:

  • Provide a free CPD and networking opportunity
  • Provide a valuable source of information on SLCN
  • Consult a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist & Psychologists
  • Share information about multi disciplinary therapy approaches
  • Inform you about the changes to the SEN System
  • Update you on the latest therapy techniques and free resources
  • Signpost to useful services
  • Information on personal budgets, school offer and commissioning effective and competitive therapy services

Our hubs are based in our City Centre locations and run from 1.00pm to 4.00pm


Who can attend the Hubs?

We welcome attendance from;

  • SENCO’s
  • Deputy/Assistant SENCO’s
  • Head teachers
  • Deputy/Assistant Heads
  • Inclusion managers

Example Agenda

12.30 – Registration & Networking

Registration starts at 12.30pm. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available upon arrival.

 

13.00 – Welcome and Introduction

13.15 – First Session

Latest SEN updates – be fully prepared for September and the updates for the new academic year

14.00 – Refreshment Break & Networking

 

14.15 – Second Session

Provision mapping – group session to evaluate your SEN set up – check that you are accessing all your funding streams, ensure you are maximising your school’s outcomes for your available budget.

3.15 – groups sharing session – come prepared with templates and pro formas to share with your colleagues – target setting, evidence collecting, etc

 

15.30 – Third session

How should speech and language therapy provision look in your school. Learn how to organise your therapy provision to suit your students.

16.00 – Conference Ends


Venue

Previous hubs have been held in the Midlands, North West and London. If you have a cluster group of schools or a local SENDCo forum we can tailor a hub meeting specially for you as requested, (depending on number of attendees and local venue availability).


Cost

We are pleased to announce that the 2017 Hubs will be delivered free of charge, subject to the following cancellation policy:

Due to the high demand of these free training events, we ask that you please inform us if you are unable to attend so that we may offer your place to a delegate on the waiting list.

In booking a space all delegates agree to provide a minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation and acknowledge they will be charged a cancellation fee of £50.00 should notice not be received.
