We believe that every child or adult with learning difficulties should be enabled to reach their full learning potential and to realise their dreams. Therefore, finding a therapist you have confidence in is vital for an individual with learning difficulties. Integrated Treatment Services will support you in finding the right therapist with the best approaches.

Integrated Treatment Services has a great deal of skill when it comes to working with children and adults with learning disabilities. In fact, we work with a variety of clients who have a range of learning needs:

  • Autistic spectrum disorders
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Down’s Syndrome
  • Acquired and traumatic brain injury
  • Mild, moderate and severe learning difficulties
  • A range of specific diagnoses which require specialist insight

Our team consists of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and psychological professionals including NLP Practitioners and Educational and Clinical Psychologists, who are all aware of the differing level of support each client may need. Working together, we develop a therapy plan with you, based on our clinical recommendations, your time availability and of course, your budget.

As an organisation, we are deeply committed to offering all of the very latest specialist approaches such as Talk Tools, Sensory Integration and many more innovative new methods. This is all designed to help our clients to achieve things which they haven’t been able to before. We work with many clients:

  • Who achieve speech when other therapists have dismissed this
  • Who supplement their communication with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices which are highly personalised to their needs
  • By developing oral placement approaches to achieve more effective eating and drinking
  • By rehabilitating skills they had successfully used prior to a brain injury

Reaching full potential

We expect each client to complete their therapy with us, and we won’t discharge them until they are successfully functioning at the levels we would expect. It goes without saying that every client or their family or carers can choose to end therapy sooner. In this case, we would write a summary discharge duty of care report outlining our therapy plan, what targets have been worked on and summarising our recommendations.

What’s more, we also understand the importance of directing parents and carers to advice, support and additional provision to help each client’s communication, cognition, independence, functional and physical skills and emotional integrity. As always, our aim is to achieve the best possible outcome for each client.
