Aarti enjoys working in partnership with families and settings to provide the best holistic support for the client’s communication needs.

Aarti is an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who has a strong set of personal values, which help to create positive working relationships in both professional positions and her voluntary community teaching roles to nurture the innate potential of each individual.

Aarti graduated from De Montfort University, Leicester with a BSc (Hons) degree in Human Communication: Speech and Language Therapy. Her undergraduate experience includes working with adults at home in the community stroke team service, acute hospital wards and the outpatient voice clinic. Paediatric experience involved work with students at primary and secondary mainstream and special needs schools, community specialist clinic sessions and Sure Start Children’s Centre outreach work with vulnerable families.

Since graduating she has worked in the National Health Service (NHS) in Nottinghamshire and Milton Keynes as an Early Years Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist. Her experience includes assessment, therapy and training within health centres, mainstream, private, voluntary and independent schools and nurseries as well as children’s centre groups and family homes, working closely with multidisciplinary professionals across health, social care and education to support universal, targeted and specialist interventions.

Aarti has gained valuable clinical knowledge, experience and skills in a wide range of speech, language and communication needs assessments and interventions to support children and young adults with speech and language delays and disorders, dysfluency, hearing impairment and social communication difficulties.

Aarti is experienced in delivering bespoke speech and language training and workshops to parents and professionals based on ICAN and Hanen principles, AAC implementation within a range of settings and enjoys creating innovative ideas to help service development.

As a highly organised and solution focused individual, her excellent communication skills in English and Gujarati and effective teamwork enables her to provide the highest quality of care and client-centred therapy. Aarti values collaborative working and is committed to helping each person feel more confident in their communicative ability, by ensuring the best outcomes are delivered for all involved in one to one, group and setting based therapy.
