This week at Integrated Treatment Services we are reporting on how Speech and Language Therapists from ITS have been raising the profile of ASLTIP (Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice) in Special Educational Needs (SEN) events.
Two Speech and Language Therapists from Integrated Treatment Services were fortunate enough to hold a stand along with other members of ASLTIP at the TES SEN London conference on the 19th and 20th October 2012.
ASLTIP is an organisation for Speech and Language Therapists working in independent (private) practice in the UK. Its two main aims are to provide information on independent Speech and Language Therapy and to support Speech and Language Therapists in independent practice (a private Speech and Language Therapist).
The ASLTIP website also provides a list of useful links and resources for family members wishing to access further support from external charities and organisations.
Integrated Treatment Services is proud to be registered with ASLTIP, as we feel that it gives our clients extra reassurance and peace of mind about the speech and language therapy services that we are providing.

The conference was a great opportunity to raise awareness of the support and services that ASLTIP provides to independent Speech and Language Therapists.
Professionals including teachers, SENCOs and Teaching Assistants aswell as parents were able to find out more about the services and support that ASLTIP provides.
The event allowed members of ASLTIP and other professionals to keep up-to-date with a huge variety of services and resources available to support those with Special Educational Needs; including the latest developments in technology and sensory and classroom equipment, to specialist schools and educational programmes.
It also offered the latest seminars on a wide range of topics for professionals and parents to attend.
Finally the conference provided a great environment for other members of ASLTIP to share ideas and network with each other along with other educational professionals.
There was much to see and learn from the conference and was a fantastic way to raise awareness of ASLTIP and keep up-to-date with other members.
